Appartement Hotel Timmendorfer Strand

I've been staying in these apartments for over 15 years. They're quiet and very close to the beach, and guests can use the hotel's spa. There's also a nice pool and saunas downstairs. The rooms can fit four or more people, and pets are allowed. Parking is plentiful, with free parking nearby too, and unloading right outside the apartments is easy.

A fantastic place, though the Wi-Fi kept cutting out too much.

Families with two children should definitely consider this place. The pool is new and there's a big garden, and the beach is just 100 m away. The rooms feel a bit dated and are very noisy, but everything is clean and the location is excellent.

The location is fantastic, close to the beach and peaceful. From a garden-facing room, you can use the adjoining garden, with sun loungers, beach chairs, a barbecue, and play equipment for kids, though it all looks rather dated. The basement pool was clean and big enough, and seemed to have been renovated recently. Even so, we left disappointed with the building. We booked a Sunset Apartment for two, and found the whole place run-down. Parking out front was tight and uneven, the shared entrance had chipped tiles, and our couch was dirty. The dining and coffee tables were scratched and stained. There was too little old crockery and the kitchen utensils were sparse and cheap: no egg spoons or cooker, blunt knives, and old glasses. The fridge barely cooled and ran constantly. I got rid of its smell by cleaning it with refrigerator cleaner. Worn baseboards, no mosquito screens, and no awning or blinds, just blackout curtains. The bathroom fan was old, loud, and ran almost all the time, while the light switched on and off with a loud noise. The bathtub drain was worn too. The beds were quite hard and creaked loudly whenever we turned over. The building itself was noisy as well.
