Residenz App 112 - Timmendorfer Strand

The quiet woodland view from my window made the room feel peaceful, even though I’d hoped for a sea view. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and well equipped, and upgrades with different views are available if you want a more classic seascape. Staff were friendly and helpful, and everything ran smoothly. The breakfast at the hotel restaurant was delightful and gave us a good start to the day. Dinner was a letdown, though. At 35 euros per person before drinks, it felt too expensive, and there wasn’t much choice. Next time I’d look at local restaurants, especially if I wasn’t planning a big meal. I booked this hotel on a spontaneous trip to Timmendorfer Strand, and the weekend by the sea was just what I needed. The pool stood out, with plenty of space, blue lighting, a comfortable lounge area, and a relaxing sauna. I couldn’t share photos for privacy reasons, but the place seemed thoughtfully designed. There’s also a lively bar with a DJ, along with bowling and tennis for some active fun. I was so pleased with the stay I didn’t want to check out. I’d recommend it for a mix of comfort and activities by the seaside.

The beach is close by, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. My mother-in-law booked two rooms for a quick family weekend, and we had a great stay at this lovely seaside hotel. What really stuck with me was that my seven-year-old left his electronic device behind by accident. The staff kept it for a couple of days until we could come back for it. A great place to stay.

The inside of this hotel is where it really puts its effort, and that’s where guests spend their time. The rooms aren’t boring, and they’re nicely furnished with a minibar, microwave, dishes, and cutlery. There’s a sea view, too, which made for a nice stay compared with other hotels in the area. The balcony could use some work, though. It wasn’t very nice or renovated enough to sit on. There’s lots to do around reception, including a Nintendo game room, billiards, pinball, a nice bar, plus the pool and wellness area. Breakfast wasn’t impressive, with nothing vegan apart from fruit. The receptionist could’ve been a bit friendlier.

The hotel was really dog friendly. There were bowls and a bed in the room, treats and bags, plus a special breakfast room where you could eat with your dog. The room was spacious and well equipped, with a comfortable bed, a big shower, and a luxurious look. It did get a little too warm, though. There was no air conditioning, so being able to open the balcony door was a relief. Otherwise, sleeping would’ve been difficult.
