The surroundings were pleasantly quiet, and many thanks to the landlords. The apartment was lovely, clean, and well equipped. Having an easy-to-reach garage parking space was invaluable, with access through the stairwell, via the door marked House 5, taking you close to the apartment. Apart from small flaws on the dining table and bathroom door, everything was in good condition. The terrace hadn't been cleared of moss or prepared yet, likely because of the cool weather.

We felt at home in this clean, cozy apartment straight away. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the beach is so close. We'd definitely stay here again.

The beach is practically unbeatable from here, and the place is a good fit if you're after a relaxing break. We stayed in the nearby sister apartment, Julchen, last year, and will probably be back next year. On arrival after a long drive, the sunny living room and comfortable terrace made it feel like the holiday had already begun. The living room is spacious, with a stereo, a large flat-screen TV, a couch, an armchair, and a dining table by the kitchen. The kitchen has what you need for self-catering. Everything was very clean and well cared for, even if some things are older. One small drawback is that the path to the neighboring apartment goes right past the bedroom window. The neighbor didn't come often, but when she did, you could almost shake hands through the open window. Closing the curtain is an easy fix if that bothers you.

Niendorf is still a place we love, and the area around the apartment was great. The parking situation, though, was awful. The underground garage is tricky, and you have to expect the car to break down at some point. Parking nearby is just as bad, and even for small errands you end up needing to go back to the garage. There was nowhere to put the rubbish, and the pan was past its best and needs replacing. Also, if an apartment is shown online with made-up beds, guests shouldn't be expected to bring their own bed linen, even when the price isn't high. And I don't even want to get into how shocked we were by the incredibly friendly aunt next door.
