Hotel Rheingold

The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and I thought the stay was good value. The hotel has a strong old-fashioned feel, a bit like my grandmother's house. Our room was spacious enough, the bathroom was okay and the shower acceptable, though the water took a while to heat up. Wi-Fi was available and downloads were faster than average, but upload speeds were dismal. The location is a stone's throw from the station and a two-minute walk to the town center. From our room, we had a peaceful view across the field to the distant forest. Breakfast was good, with everything fresh except the muffins, and more than enough choice.

This is an old hotel from another era, but it's very well maintained. The staff were good and the location was nice, close to the bahnof and a DB bahn car charging station. There are lots of places to eat nearby, and Titisee is within walking distance. Free open-air parking is available on the premises.

The hotel is close to both the town center and the lake, and we had a great experience overall. Our rooms were clean and looked out onto beautiful mountains. The owners were friendly and helpful. The only downside was that the Wi-Fi didn't work.

I spent just one night here, on 12 July 2017. The location is ideal, very close to Tittesee but away from the crowds. Breakfast was very good and the service was good too. I recommend it.
