The apartments themselves were clean, spacious, and nice, but the check-in experience spoiled the stay. Everything is handled digitally, with no staff involved. After a six-hour drive from Italy, we arrived at 2:30 p.m. and the system wouldn't let us check in before the scheduled 3 p.m. time. We eventually found Mr. Joe, one of the apartment cleaning staff, with two other boys who seemed shady. They told us there were no rooms available, which was a complete shock. Customer care then said our rooms would be ready in two hours, at 5 p.m., two hours after the scheduled check-in. The woman on the phone was rude and didn't apologize for the delay. It was the worst check-in experience I've had in a European country, and I wouldn't recommend the property because of the rude, unpleasant treatment of guests.

Our family apartment had a lovely balcony and plenty of space. The kitchen came with some basic utensils, and there are lots of apartments here. Watch out for the many mosquitoes, so bring repellent.

We could head straight from the front terrace into the forest with our dog, and there are lovely walks nearby, especially around the Wutach Gorge. The apartments were clean, very well equipped, and really nice.

The flat was cozy, clean, and fully equipped, and the natural surroundings were lovely. We had some trouble figuring out the parking arrangements. The refrigerator had been switched off, which wasn't ideal but wasn't a big deal. A good stay in the middle of the Black Forest.
