Chalet MOOS

The wine lounge was a highlight for me, with a great selection of local and Italian wines. It’s a lovely hotel, and the staff were really friendly.

Really great place!

The beds and pillows were incredibly comfortable, so we slept wonderfully. The rooms were nicely furnished, and the whole hotel was clean and well looked after. Breakfast was delicious and clearly made with care. We felt comfortable as soon as we arrived. The owners were warm and welcoming, and it was obvious they cared about their guests and made sure we had what we needed. The atmosphere was relaxed, and we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. We’d happily come back and recommend the hotel.

Chalet Moos is in a lovely spot for the Schluchtensteig, which we started last year and completed during our nine-day stay. Todtmoos itself is a little gem in the southern Black Forest, surrounded by beautiful nature. We’ll definitely be back. We were among the first guests after the new hosts took over, just a few days into their time in Todtmoos. You’d never have guessed how new they were to running the hotel: the staff were professional, attentive, and always ready to listen or help. My mother, who stayed in a lovely single room, our dog, and we as a couple all felt very welcome. The house was peaceful and harmonious, just right for a relaxing break. The rooms have been beautifully renovated, each with its own charm and striking details. The terrace, dining room, lounge, and common room are lovely too, and everything has been thought through carefully. Cleanliness and hygiene are clearly a priority. We slept very well in the comfortable beds, and the balcony had lovely lounge furniture. The hostess treated us to delicious, healthy, varied three-course dinners each evening, always beautifully presented. Her husband took great care of the service. Breakfast was fantastic too, with everything you could want.
