Gasthaus Hafenblick

We stayed in February, when unfortunately almost everything in Tönning was closed. The old house has charm and a view of the harbor, and the first-floor apartment has lots of small rooms. It's furnished practically in an IKEA style. The beds were okay, and the kitchen had a decent range of equipment, though a few good coffee mugs would have been welcome. You can walk to everything in Tönning.

We'd love to return for another weekend by the North Sea. It's a great spot for a truly relaxing break, with five-star furnishings and amenities. Picking up the keys at the cafe was easy and smooth.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the garden was lovely, though it would have been better if the calf-high grass had been cut before we arrived. We chose the place because it accepts pets, but unfortunately we were put upstairs. The stay was pleasant overall, and I can recommend the rental. We plan to come back. The cupboards were the biggest problem. Previous guests had left groceries, spices, and other things behind, so we first had to clear out the rubbish before putting our belongings away. The landlord should have made sure the cupboards were in order for new guests. Collecting the apartment keys from the bakery was also quite a hassle. It would have been nicer if the owner had met us at the apartment, welcomed us in person, and left information about practical things such as which parking space belonged to us. And the cream puffs are huge, the biggest I've ever seen! Just don't expect to pay €2.80 for one like at an ordinary bakery. Best, Lars

The room and bathroom were spotless, and the bathroom felt modern and had a proper hairdryer. We found the room spacious and nicely furnished, with a TV and the Wi-Fi password waiting on the desk. Check-in went smoothly, and leaving was just as easy: we left the key in the lock and headed off without needing to speak to anyone. It was just right for our weekend away.
