Straubs Schöne Aussicht

I liked the homemade jelly selection at breakfast, and the restaurant has a pleasant view over the Main River. The breakfast itself was standard but good. Our room was tiny, though clean and fine for sleeping. Without A/C, we didn't want to spend much time there anyway. We had a good stay that met our expectations.

The view across the River Main toward the vineyard on the hills is great, and the hotel is clean and comfortable for a reasonable price. I also enjoy the good wine selection in the excellent cellar. Whenever I visit Erlenbach for business, I’ll keep staying at Hotel Straubs @Klingenberg. The owner Rafael Straubs is always welcoming and accommodating.

For business at Wika, the office is only a 5 minute walk away. The hotel has an old, vintage feel, but the rooms are clean and nice, if a bit small. It’s right across from Klingenberg main Bahnhof, and the staff are friendly. There’s self check-in if you arrive after reception closes. Breakfast is fine, nothing fancy but not bad. Buses to and from Klingenberg are poor, so the train may be a better option.

I liked the clean, modern room, the private balcony, and the outstanding views of the river and mountains. The shower’s glass only covers half of it, so I can’t shower the way I usually do at home with the shower head up high. That leaves a slight splash of water on the bathroom floor, which is why I took off a star.
