Villa Silbermöwe

The house has everything we needed for a group of up to 8, including a good gas grill and a whirlpool. The natural beach is only a short walk away, and the setting is lovely and quiet. For groceries, we had to drive about 10 km, which was easy enough to plan around. There’s also a small shop at the neighboring hotel with plenty of essentials.

Those panoramic windows were lovely, and the quiet surroundings made it easy to relax after walks nearby. We were five adults and had loads of room, inside and out. The house feels new and well made, with bright, comfortable rooms. The kitchen and all three bathrooms had everything we needed, and there’s a cozy fireplace too. We’d happily return.

The hot tub was the big hit, the kids got in every day and we adults enjoyed it often too. Silbermöve was a lovely place for our two weeks in July 2021, with four adults and three children across three families. It’s quiet, with a big garden, and the house had everything we needed. Mr. Wiebe was very friendly, and Mrs. Sommer took good care of us. We spent time relaxing in the beach chair and on the loungers, though there’s plenty to explore around the island. Wittow peninsula and Hiddensee make nice outings. We biked for exercise and used the car otherwise. Bergen, with several large discount stores, is about 20 minutes away. For our young children, the upstairs play corner had toys, and there was a trampoline outside plus a playground. A crib, two high chairs, a very high quality changing table, a safety gate and children's cutlery were provided too. We regularly visit Rügen, so we had plenty to compare this house with, and it really is a gem. It was perfectly equipped for our group of 8, with chic, modern furnishings, spa showers and walk-in showers, and a huge glass front looking out over the expansive grounds. The sun terrace and whirlpool especially impressed us. The area is very quiet, which you need to enjoy, and that's part of its charm. We could quickly get into the water just around the corner, though there is no sandy beach, as the landlord points out. By car, the sights were all easy to reach. The landlord also gave us useful parking tips, and we often got to the beautiful sandy beach quickly by car and the regularly running ferry, which costs a small fee. We also recommend a bike ride along the water to the nearby fishing village of Schaprode, with its little beach and several restaurants. Thanks for a wonderful vacation. We'd love to come back.
