Hotel-Restaurant Ketterer am Kurgarten

The food and location were lovely, but the staff's incredible rudeness overshadowed everything. They were perfectly nice to German-speaking guests, which made the uncomfortable treatment of English speakers feel even worse. I wouldn't recommend dining here to anyone who speaks English.

Markus Ketterer, the owner and chef, was wonderful, and the food was the best we had in town. He was also a very nice man. The hotel has been run by the same family for over four generations, and it's a lovely place. We spent a week there in June and loved how close it is to Triberg falls and the downtown area. I'd stay here again!

I had barely sat down and hadn't even exchanged words with the server when a sign was thrown at me telling me not to drink from my own water bottle. As a tourist, I didn't expect that kind of treatment. The staff were so rude that I decided to leave. If zero stars were possible, that's what I'd give.

We had a very comfortable room with an enclosed sunroom balcony. It looked out over the village and hills, with mountains in the distance. The location made it easy to walk around Triberg and get to some local restaurants. It was also convenient for driving to nearby sights and a couple farther away.
