There’s no hotel parking, though you can leave the car nearby on the corner. Gasthaus Zum güldenen Rößlein is a cosy guesthouse in an excellent location for the area. The rooms are clean and well organised, the staff are very friendly, and breakfast is simple but thoughtfully made.

It has a deliciously old-fashioned feel, right down to the seventies bathroom tiles. Please leave those alone! The accommodation is basic and sits in the centre of a beautifully placed wine village. The traditional German restaurant is very good, with local wines.

A comfortable place to stay close to the highway, and highly recommended. It’s in the heart of a charming city, with clean, spacious rooms, a good dinner, and a nice breakfast.
