The rooms are spacious and clean, and the setting feels safe, with private parking. It's a stunning hotel just outside the city center. Breakfast was what you'd expect for this kind of place. There's no bar, and walking into the center takes 15 minutes. A taxi back costs around €20.

The rooms were hot and dusty, there were bugs, the WiFi didn't work, and the showers were cold. The woman at the desk was extremely unprofessional about the bugs. They refused to refund us despite the awful experience. She even admitted things weren't okay but wouldn't do anything to help. Don't go here, they are thieves.

We paid €240 for two nights, and I wouldn't recommend this hotel unless it really is the only place left in Trier. The showers only gave us cold water, and we found cockroaches in the bathroom. There was dust in both the first room and the replacement room, and the WiFi advertised by the hotel didn't work. When we raised it, the woman at reception said cockroaches weren't dangerous and it wasn't a problem to have them in the kitchen or bathroom. She also wondered why only young people complained about the WiFi. I asked if she'd be happy paying that amount for cold showers and cockroaches, and her reply felt like a rehearsed PR answer from her manager. We were treated very poorly for a hotel that certainly isn't cheap.

The view over Trier is outstanding, and the location is really good. Rooms are exceptionally clean, well laid out, and perfect for what you need, though very spartan. The reception staff were competent and friendly. I'll definitely come back.
