You can help yourself to tea, snacks, and fresh bakery items in the hall, and breakfast is good too. The welcome was warm. The hotel sits away from town, though, and rooms or balconies facing the road pick up traffic noise. There’s plenty of room inside, and the surrounding woods are nice for running or bike rides, with a 5km trail to the nearest town.

We had some of the best food and hospitality of our month traveling through Austria and Germany here. The room WiFi barely worked, though the hallway and shared spaces had decent reception. It may be down to the building’s construction. Worth stopping by if you’re passing through.

The only thing I’d change is the sign for the turn at the nearest roundabout, which could be bigger. Otherwise, it’s a clean, classic German gasthof with really nice staff and a good breakfast, even during COVID times. Meant in the best way :)

The staff in the bar and restaurant are genuinely friendly. The WiFi was so poor that I couldn’t get my work done, and the rooms were just so-so. Still, it’s a friendly place and could suit someone traveling on a budget.

The hotel’s in a nice spot, but it’s a bit far from both Tuttlingen and Neuhausen o.Eck. Since the restaurant and bar were closed, being out in the middle of nowhere wasn’t ideal.
