Hotel Engelhof

We were there for two nights and everything was just right. The room was roomy, clean, and nicely furnished, while the kitchen and balcony were well kept. The bathroom was a little cramped for two, but still perfectly adequate. It's a charming hotel, and the S-Bahn is only a 2-minute walk away.

The rooms were very clean, well maintained, and stylish. You can tell the owner cares about the rooms and her guests' comfort. Breakfast was generous and delicious too. Getting around is easy, both into the small town and to the train, with Munich about 30 minutes away. That made the hotel a good fit for business travel, but I was there for a relaxing vacation. Lake Starnberg and the surrounding area are lovely places to unwind and recharge. I'll definitely be back!

Tutzing is a lovely little town on Lake Starnberg, and we would come back. We stayed during Oktoberfest three years ago, and the prices were really good despite the festival, not overpriced or exorbitant. Breakfast was plentiful, and our room was large and comfortable. It was right by the tracks, but we barely heard the regular trains. The station is a 2-minute walk away, with regular service to and from Munich Central Station. There's a Rissmann restaurant around the corner, and Garmisch Partenkirchen and the Zugspitze are only 90 minutes away.

The personal service was truly exceptional, and the owner herself gave me a warm welcome when I arrived at Hotel Engelhof. I stayed for a week and loved the extensive, outstanding breakfast, the newly renovated rooms furnished with care, and the great location near both the S-Bahn and the lake. I travel for business often, so I have a good basis for comparison. I'll definitely return to Hotel Engelhof and recommend it to my colleagues. Many thanks to the whole hotel team.
