Almdorado

It’s quite a way from any town, so I wouldn’t choose this place for much beyond a night’s sleep. The rooms and beds are nice, but the toilets are across the field, a long walk from the rooms, and there are lots of bugs at night. I found the place pretty boring otherwise.

The location is great, and staying here for one night was an experience. Be prepared for a rougher stay, though. In the small huts, you can hear people in the next one, so they’re not ideal. The separate huts are a good alternative to sleeping in a tent.

There were quite a few young people around when we visited because of a festival, but they were polite and kept the noise down. The small wooden cabins sleep four, and the sanitary facilities were clean. A nice option if you’re after a different kind of camping.

The kids loved the vibe, and I really liked the concept. It got a little warm overnight, but staying in this tiny house was much nicer than a boring hotel. I wouldn’t choose it for a whole week, but it’s a fun, unusual place to spend a night or a day while traveling to your destination.
