Pension Haus Anneliese

I stayed in the little 16-square-meter apartment at the back of the garden and loved it. It was simple, functional, and comfortable, and I felt safe and at home straight away as a solo traveler. I was greeted warmly, with fresh flowers and thoughtful touches on the table. After all those lovely walks and outings, it was always nice to come back. You can walk to everything, but the place still feels sheltered from the crowds. Shops, good restaurants, the tourist information office, a shuttle service, and walking and cycling routes are right nearby. The visitor card also includes free use of the bicycle and the UBB (Useli-Ulm public transport), if you want them. That benefit is only included in Ückeritz. I had everything I needed, highly recommend the place, and will definitely return.

The Achterwasser lagoon is only 300 meters away, and the beach restaurant there has a wonderful view. The beach is a seven-minute bike ride, or you can catch the beach shuttle from a stop 50 meters away. Shops and restaurants are walkable. Ückeritz feels less crowded than the Imperial Spas, though it's still a good idea to book a dinner table. It's a lovely property with well-equipped holiday apartments, including single rooms. The owners are friendly and helpful.

The Christmas decorations made us feel at home right away. Our hostess came out to welcome us herself and shook our hands.

Deutsches Haus, the best restaurant, is nearby. The supermarket takes just a few minutes by bike, and it's about five minutes by bike to the lovely seaside resort of Ückeritz. Everything was in great shape and well located.
