After a walk, this was a lovely spot to stop for dinner. The food was excellent, local, and typical of the area, and we were welcomed and looked after very warmly. The landlady and landlord were patient with us even though our German was poor. They also have free Wi-Fi, which matters here because it's easy to end up on a Swiss network without realizing it, and that gets horribly expensive.

The proprietors always give you such a friendly welcome. It feels like a home away from home, and the pleasant surroundings make it a lovely place to spend time. The food is excellent and well prepared. Definitely worth a visit.

I’ve been coming back for years for the fresh forest mushroom dishes. They’re amazing, and worth the drive into Germany’s Black Forest to eat at this restaurant.

We felt very comfortable at the birthday party. The decor and rooms have lots of lovely details, and the food was delicious. The service was great, too. We’d love to come back.
