Gästehaus Schechter

We had a great week at the Schechter Guesthouse. The hostess was so nice, and she always had a helpful tip for us. The rooms were clean and well cared for. We can definitely recommend it and will be back.

It’s easy to get around from here by public transport, and lots of places are close enough to reach on foot. The hostess was really friendly, the rooms were clean and lovely, and the location was excellent. I’d recommend staying here.

We had a wonderful week at the Schechter guesthouse on Lake Constance. The owners were very friendly, our room was lovely, and breakfast was excellent. Everything was just right, highly recommended.

We got the Lake Constance Card with our names and travel dates as soon as we arrived. It covered bus fares, and on request it also gave discounts at some attractions. Several buses leave just around the corner, so we often left the car parked. It rained on three of our four days, but we made the best of it. The guesthouse is on a quiet side street, and we slept through the nights without noise. The owner personally handled everything and gave detailed answers whenever we asked. Our rooms had TVs, plenty of storage, and were always spotless. There was also a little alcove outside with a fridge, where guests could keep their own things, plus a kettle, coffee machine, and dishes. For a small extra fee we could use these, and the owner washed up afterward. We booked breakfast, served as a small but excellent buffet. There was enough choice to satisfy our hunger, and we could ask for extra items. The guesthouse is definitely worth recommending. Thank you, Mrs. Schechter, for a lovely stay. We’d love to return.
