Hofgut Stefan - Das Bodensee Hostel

The kitchen was better equipped than I expected, though we could've used some small sharp knives and perhaps a cutting board that wasn't glass. The rooms were cosy, the beds really comfortable, and everything was clean and welcoming.

It's a great value hostel with modern, clean, comfortable facilities, including a powerful shower. The staff were attentive and very friendly, and the small farm shop downstairs had fresh produce at good prices. This newly opened hostel is attached to the local family farm Hofgut Stefan, opposite a bus stop and within walking distance of the train station and the Neolithic Pile Hut Dwelling UNESCO museum. A good place to consider if you're on the north shore of Bodensee/Lake Constance.

We loved the atmosphere and had a great week at the hostel. The shared kitchen and dining area had just about everything for cooking: a large fridge with a space for each room, toaster, small oven, coffee maker, kettle, stovetop, sandwich maker, dishes, pots and pans, sink, dish soap, and sponge. There's also a lounge. Our room was bright, clean, and laid out perfectly. The private bathroom is across from the room and has a sink, toilet, and shower. The showerhead is fixed in place but adjustable, with different spray patterns.
