The food was fantastic, and the staff in both the restaurant and hotel were lovely. We only booked late because delays on our drive from Ireland to Switzerland meant we needed somewhere near our route to sleep. We arrived just before the restaurant closed, with no real expectations, and ended up really enjoying the place. The layout is quirky and the rooms are dated, but neither bothered us much. We slept well, and the room fridge was handy for keeping drinks cold in the heat for the next day’s drive. We’d planned to leave early, but breakfast, then the pool and sauna, kept us there longer. After lunch in town, we continued on our way. It was reasonably priced and had plenty of parking. A welcoming, relaxing place to switch off for a few days. We’ll stop here again next time, maybe for longer.

We had a wonderful stay at Sonnenhof & Sonnhalde, and the two buildings didn’t get in the way of enjoying what the hotel offers. The rooms were clean and cozy, and we made use of the spa, pool, and wellness area. Breakfast was buffet style, with plenty to set us up for the day, and dinner at the restaurant was great too, with lots of dishes to choose from. It’s biker friendly and has car parking as well. Thanks to the team. See you next time!

We only stayed one night, and breakfast was enjoyable. The hotel is in southern Germany, close to the Swiss border, with a nice room and a large bathroom in a regional German style. The pool was nice too, though I found the sauna area really creepy. The free WiFi was strong, and there’s a car park.

Breakfast and dinner were both very good, and the service was attentive. The rooms were clean and spacious, though the beds felt very low quality and the decor a bit dated.

We spent a few days here and had a really bad experience. The staff weren’t friendly or helpful, especially the male receptionist, who seemed to have no customer service or social skills. The room was far below what we expected compared with other hotels. Awful place, do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.
