The apartments are comfortable, the place is lovely, and the owners are really nice. There are horses, cats, a dog, and rabbits around, so kids are bound to enjoy it. You can rent a bike right at the house too, then spend the day in Lüneburg haide.

Taking our dog along was no problem, and the tour itself made for a lovely afternoon. We booked a horse-drawn carriage from Wilsede back to the farm through the Lüneburg Heath. The driver was friendly and shared lots of stories about the area. The horses and carriage were in great shape, the ride was comfortable, and the price seemed very fair.

The route took us through quiet woods, little villages, and blooming heath, with stories from the coachman along the way. It felt like being in a postcard. He was warm and easy to talk to, explained things carefully, and never rushed us. The horses were gorgeous, calm, and clearly very well cared for and trained, which made the ride feel safe and relaxing. It was such a memorable way to see the Lüneburg Heath, and we’ll remember it for a long time. For an authentic outing in the area, I’d definitely recommend this ride.
