Gasthof Heidelust

The owners are kind and helpful, and the place is right on the Heidschnuckenweg.

This simple inn has quite sparsely furnished rooms, but that didn't bother me. They serve coffee and delicious cake every afternoon from 2 pm to 6 pm. Breakfast is basic too, though likely enough for most people, and the homemade rolls are a nice touch. It's really just a place for bed and breakfast plus afternoon coffee. The owners are genuinely friendly and nice. I wouldn't choose it for a longer visit, but it's perfectly fine for a weekend or a night while passing through.

The owner was incredibly friendly and accommodating, and dogs are welcome. The hotel is lovely, quiet, and charming, with beautiful clean rooms and a large, enchanting garden. Breakfast in the lovingly restored room is a great start to the day, with quality as well as plenty of food. The egg dishes are freshly made and delicious. Thank you for all the lovely touches at Gasthof Heidelust. We'll be back in September and are already looking forward to a longer, more relaxing break there.

After our hike in pouring rain, towels were waiting at the entrance so we could dry off. The rooms were beautifully renovated, and the bathrooms had everything we needed. When the neighboring restaurant closed, we were offered tea in our room and a glass of Prosecco with dinner. The food came from a great delivery service, since they don't currently have their own restaurant. We slept peacefully, then had a fresh, tasty breakfast with lovely rolls and jams, none of it individually wrapped. The scrambled eggs were delicious too. The hosts are so friendly and clearly do everything they can to make guests feel comfortable. We can only agree with the previous comments: it was a fantastic stay. Thank you, Heinsen family!
