Dinner by the little river was a real highlight, and the four-course meal was amazing. We stayed for five nights in mid-July, a family of five with three kids, and were given two rooms. They were roomy, clean, and had an authentic feel, with a view of the river and a small patch of forest. The staff welcomed us warmly, and the team was kind and respectful throughout. Breakfast was fresh and had plenty of variety. The dinner menu was posted each morning, and the kitchen always found good alternatives for my vegetarian wife and my child who is sensitive to gluten. We also appreciated how peaceful the hotel felt while still being close to the main activities. There’s a small car park right by the entrance. We had a great stay and will definitely come back.

The pool and sauna area was great, and we especially liked the river beside the restaurant. Our room had a lovely view, a very good bed, and lots of nice little touches. We really liked the hotel and would come back. The one thing that could be better is the gym, which could use some weights.

The hotel provides a bus and train pass, which was super helpful. The pool was very clean, and breakfast was amazing. A great family-friendly place to stay.

The rooms don't have a fridge or minibar, which matters if you want to keep food for the kids or have a cold drink. There's no air conditioning either, so it gets hot when the weather is hot. That said, the pool looks like it belongs in a catalogue, and the view from the back is wow. The location also works well for sightseeing in the Black Forest, and the staff are very nice and willing to help.

I first came here while looking for somewhere to stay on my frequent trips to visit elderly relatives in Freiburg and Gundelfingen. When my aunt's health began to decline, we wanted to avoid adding work for her, and this hotel became our regular place to stay. Coming back feels like coming "Home," which is about the best compliment I can give. The service is friendly and impeccable, the breakfast buffet is great, and the rooms are always comfortable and immaculate.
