During the day, the lobby is lovely and welcoming, and for the price this is a reasonable option. The rooms are spacious and clean, although the furnishings and appliances are old and a bit dated. You also have to pay a deposit or fee to get kitchen cutlery. Arriving after hours was awful. The night help line only answered after several calls, and they weren’t willing to help with check-in. There’s an automated machine, but if you arrive after 10, you’d better hope it’s working. The person on the night line didn’t care and hung up on me. The entrance is out of the way and a bit strange.

The hotel parking is a joke: the tiny lot is always full, and when we complained, staff couldn’t have cared less. We paid to stay here and were left to figure out parking ourselves. That’s not customer service. Paying guests should be able to count on basic amenities, not get a shrug from reception. Avoid this hotel.

The room was very large and clean, and the bathroom was spotless too. But there weren’t any kitchen appliances available, and using even a simple pan cost 2 euro per day. The worst part of my trip was dealing with the girl at the front desk. She got our reservations mixed up, and when our big group tried to explain, she was terribly rude. Later I hauled a heavy suitcase and backpack up four flights of stairs, couldn’t find my room number, and went back to check I had it right. She just told me to look for it. When I asked how I was meant to find it without knowing the place, she repeated it in the worst tone. After 10 minutes wandering around what felt like a maze, I found the room. The other guy working there the next day was polite and sweet.

A Lidl and a small shopping center are nearby, and we had a good breakfast. The receptionist was very courteous, and the lobby always had someone available when we needed help. We didn’t run into the check-in hour problems other people mentioned.
