There’s no nightlife around, and getting to nearby restaurants means having a car. The breakfast selection was limited, though the woman serving was very friendly and helpful. My room was on the second floor, and with no elevator I had to carry my bags up the stairs. It had no air conditioning, so I opened the window at night for cooler air. The bed made it hard to sleep, and there was no mini fridge or locker for valuables. The toilet had just two small towels, and the poor condition is visible in the photos. This was one of the worst stays I’ve had. I think the hotel’s reviews are overrated.

The owners were very kind and supportive, and breakfast was good. The hotel was clean and nicely put together, a good choice for an overnight stay. Electric car chargers are available. Our room faced the road and was so noisy that we couldn’t sleep with the windows open. The mattress was too hard for us, too.

Breakfast was good, and the beds were comfortable. The hotel was clean and conveniently close to the highway, but the kitchen closes at 9pm. We had very noisy people next door, and there was noise in the hall as well. The rooms seem to lack soundproofing, so I’d avoid a ground-floor room.

The breakfast was the best in the area, and it was the closest thing to a traditional English breakfast I’ve found in southern Bavaria. We had a really pleasant stay. The family-run hotel is warmly welcoming and within easy reach of Ulm and Memmingen. Its restaurant serves fine Bavarian cuisine. Thank you, family Blum!

The new facilities had only been open for two weeks, and the kitchen was excellent. Blum still needs to work on the ambiance, though I think their professional staff should be able to sort that out.
