Soooo good!

The place was badly dated, with cobwebs in the corners, dusty yellowed curtains, a clogged toilet, and a jumble of towels from different companies. The owner smoked a lot despite this being a non-smoking hotel, and they only took cash. On our multi-day bike trip, this was easily the worst and most expensive place we stayed. We were relieved it was just one night and would rather have carried on to Sigmaringen.

The homemade cakes on display in the dining area looked like a good selection, and the plum cake I had was absolutely delicious. The coffee was great too. I only stopped in briefly this afternoon, but if you're passing through, try a slice of cake.

The meal was a disaster, and it wasn't cheap either, so the value for money was awful. The salad was from a bucket and the other food seemed to come from the refrigerated section, like discount store food, even though the menu says everything is freshly prepared. When we raised this after being asked if all was well, they said they were actually a coffee shop and made the cakes themselves. That response didn't make them seem open to criticism.
