Hotel-Pension Restaurant Weyrich

The portions were really big, honestly more than you'd expect for the price. We ate there with a group of 20, and the young server, the owner's son, was very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious: we had several kinds of schnitzel, stuffed roast pork, and chicken curry. We love the slightly old-fashioned feel of the old Odenwald inns. If that appeals to you too, and you like eating well for little money while enjoying the beautiful countryside, Pension Weyrich is just the place. It deserves support!

The owner was very friendly and happy to answer all our questions. It was our first visit today, and the food was so good that I can highly recommend it. We’d gladly come again.

What a disappointment. I’ve known this place for over 40 years and remember it as a really great spot, so I never expected it to be this bad. We only wanted a light meal, but the service was dreadful. He knocked over a glass while setting the table and didn’t even apologize. Then, after we asked for a drink, he wrote down its cost. Make sure to count your change carefully.

The lunch was tasty and inexpensive, but we definitely won’t be back anytime soon. The dining room was painfully cold, maybe around 17°C (63°F), and it was a relief to step back outside, where it was much warmer. The room also needs serious attention: decorative trim was hanging from the ceiling, new tiles had been fitted beside old ones that were completely yellowed, and the tablecloths were wrinkled and stained. Dust and hair covered the chair covers.
