Inside, the hotel looks good, and both the room and bathroom were clean. Breakfast was crowded, though that probably depends on what time you go. I could imagine them offering a free bottle of water.

We only stayed one night with our family while passing through, so we didn't get to see the city. Still, we'd choose this hotel again without hesitation if we're back in the area. The staff were warm and welcoming throughout, and even showed us to our room themselves. The hotel's design and furnishings are stylish and inviting. Our room was cozy and spotless, with fresh, crisp white linens and all the thoughtful touches we needed to relax. Breakfast had plenty of fresh, tasty choices for different tastes. Highly recommended!

Central Hotel feels refreshingly personal after more than 2,000 nights I've spent in hotels and resorts around the world. It's family-owned, and the team treats you like family while still being professional. The care shows in everything, from check-in and breakfast to housekeeping. It's clearly not a corporate chain, and that personal touch is what makes the stay special. You're treated as a valued guest, not a room number, with heartfelt hospitality that feels rare among hotels with impersonal service. The rooms are spotless, comfortable, thoughtfully laid out, and have practical modern amenities for business or leisure. The setting is peaceful, and the hotel works well as a base for visiting the Black Forest region. After thousands of hotel nights worldwide, I'd put it among the very best. I can't recommend Central Hotel in Villingen-Schwenningen highly enough.

The staff took such good care of my parents and my in-laws when they visited. Breakfast was incredible, and everyone at the front of house was friendly, helpful, and ready to accommodate us. This was by far our best staff experience, and the best hotel and service we've had. Special thanks to Connor and Oliver :)

The service is what makes this hotel so good. The reception staff are incredibly friendly, breakfast is great and includes bio products, and the rooms are clean, modern, and comfortable. The bar is a lovely place to unwind in the evening. It's charming and pleasant to stay here. It may not be big or have a swimming pool, but I've stayed in few hotels as good as this one.
