After a long drive from London, the little touches for our dog meant a lot, like water bowls by the entrance and generous treats from the receptionist. The staff were absolutely lovely, and the beds were the best ever. Breakfast was generous and set us up well for another long day in the car. We stopped for one night on our way through Germany and were so grateful for the wonderful service. We loved this place, thank you!

We keep coming back, usually about four times a year, and the free parking is one of the reasons. The hotel is well appointed and offers excellent value for money. This time we were upgraded to a suite, which we really appreciated. We’ll be back!

The room doors tend to shut pretty loudly, and the glass sliding bathroom door felt a little disconcerting to us. Even so, we had a pleasant stay at the hotel.

Getting around is convenient if you drive, though it’s a 30-minute walk to the town centre. The hotel itself is lovely and modern, with nice decor and a good-sized room. Reception staff were friendly and helpful, and the water station by reception was a nice touch. Room supplies could have been replenished more reliably, since the coffee wasn’t restocked every day and there weren’t enough small towels. I was disappointed by the hot drinks at the bar: there was no decaf coffee, and I was asked to make my own tea with lukewarm water but charged the regular price.
