Gästehaus Zunterer

The hostess was really friendly and easy to reach on WhatsApp whenever I had a question. The bus stop is almost right across the road, and the Alpenweltcard lets you ride for free. That can save you the cost of parking at the Herzogstand cable car, for example. :) I stayed two nights at Gästehaus Zunterer. My room was spacious and clean, though traffic on the street was noisy. Breakfast was a small spread, but everything was excellent. The selection was just right, and eggs, scrambled or boiled, were made fresh when requested. I can absolutely recommend this place!

We spent our summer vacation with the Zunterer family and had a wonderful stay. The room was charming and comfortable, and the location worked well for getting around. Katharina, our contact, was always available and took care of all our requests. Breakfast was fresh and delicious every day. Room cleaning and fresh towels were provided when we asked. Wallgau also seems to be the only village where Vodafone has 5G reception. The main road runs right past the room, so the traffic made it impossible to sleep with the window open. That was the one small drawback. We’d gladly stay there again, though. It certainly wasn’t our last visit.

I had a single room, which was perfectly adequate, and a little balcony with a great view. It’s a lovely small house, with very nice, friendly, and helpful hosts and great service. Highly recommended. This wasn’t my last time here.

My sister and I had some trouble with the bike rack when we arrived at Gästehaus Zunterer, but the family helped us straight away. They’re friendly and very helpful, and there’s a bike garage as well. Our room was very clean. Breakfast starts at 7:30 a.m., with warm rolls and a small buffet that still had plenty for us. Eggs are cooked fresh to order. Downstairs, there’s a fridge with chilled drinks you can take yourself, as long as you write down what you’ve taken. We brought our own drinks and borrowed glasses from the glass shelf. There’s also a shelf of different games. We stayed two nights and can wholeheartedly recommend the place. We’d love to come back!
