The staff were the highlight: attentive throughout, and the hotel gave us a wonderful chance to soak up Bavarian culture. As visitors from New York, we appreciated the quality of the food, service, and hotel for a good price. We spent four nights at Parkhotel Wallgau, in a Large Chalet Room that felt luxurious. Half board included a sumptuous breakfast, an afternoon snack and cake, and a lovely four-course dinner each night in a beautiful dining room. The food was delicious, with varied menus. The hotel is comfortable, beautifully situated in Wallgau, and handy for the local sights. We seemed to be the only Americans there.

We stayed in a hotel Suite with our dog and toddler, and the friendly staff were always around. Everything felt carefully considered, and the four-course dinner was a pleasant surprise compared with other hotels we've stayed at. Breakfast choices were limited, though the quality was good. The location was great, with plenty of lakes and waterfalls nearby, and we'd absolutely return. One thing to improve: the mattress and pillows weren't very comfortable.

I've been treating myself to stays here for over ten years, and the quality and service have held up. Parking is easy, and you can get by without a car. The whole team and the facilities make for a relaxing atmosphere, away from the nearby tourist bustle.

A lovely Bavarian hotel and restaurant with a pool and spa. The people were very nice, and we had an enjoyable stay. The restaurant food was good.

The staff, dressed in traditional Bavarian clothes, were warm and professional, and the place has a character I rarely see elsewhere, helped along by the Bavarian design. The food was truly excellent, and it felt like home from the moment we arrived. Rooms are clean and cozy, with lovely views of the mountains or the little town. There's a trail right nearby for hiking, cycling, or running, and beautiful mountain lakes about 4 km away. A tennis court is a five-minute walk, with several playgrounds nearby for kids. The small spa has a pool and different saunas.
