Reos Hotel Wangen

The villa was unbearably hot. It was 30 degrees Celsius outside and humid from the weather, and the newly built place had no air conditioning. We couldn’t get fresh air in either, since the Velux roof windows would let rain inside. We ended up with six hours of “sauna sleep” before getting back on the autobahn. We were traveling from Denmark to Italy and arrived just before midnight after terrible traffic and a really heavy thunderstorm. Getting through on the hotel’s official phone number was very difficult. We called around ten times before someone answered, so we could report the delay. They told us to pick up our keys from an outdoor key box. It was very dark when we got there at 23:30, and we couldn’t find the box until another call. Then we had to locate the villa we’d rented. There was no map or information, the rain was pouring, and the garden lights were off. The villa was behind the hotel building and had no parking beside it. We were all soaked by the time we finally got inside. ☹️ ⛈️
