Appartement Villa am Rosengarten

The apartment itself is very nice, but I wouldn't book through Folkerts again. Two of the four mattresses were completely worn out and soaked in urine, yet they were considered acceptable. We also got several rude comments, including: "You don't really think you'll get new mattresses in peak season, do you?" and "The urine is from the guests; we can't do anything about it."

The location is great, but the apartment feels a little dated. It should be fine if the weather is good. Our friends stayed in a beautifully renovated apartment.

One thing to know is that Apartment No. 29 doesn't have an oven. Aside from that, it's comfortably furnished and has what you need. The bedrooms are split across two floors, which I personally liked. There's a double bed in one room, while upstairs there are two single beds in separate sleeping alcoves. The bathroom is a good size and has a bath with a shower, which you often find in smaller apartments. TV comes through a Telekom box, with regular channels, several media libraries, Netflix, and Amazon Video. There's also a playground on the property. I thought the location was very good. There are two grocery stores nearby, the center is about a two-minute walk away, and the beach takes around five minutes on foot.

Apartment 16 is roomy, attractive, and in a great spot. The shower was a real problem, though: with it 11°C outside, the water was usually freezing, and at times only a few drops came out. I raised it with them and got no reply. Such a shame. The Wi-Fi barely works either, but I don't need it on holiday anyway :-)
