We'd happily stay here again. It's a lovely apartment with high-quality furnishings, and my complaints are really just small things. The kids' beds are wobbly and need their legs tightened. In summer, the curtains don't keep the rooms dark enough for children who need it, so bring blackout curtains. I also wish the dining room windows had pleated blinds, since people heading to apartments 3, 4, and 5 can look inside.

The lighthouse slide at the freshly renovated playground is only a few steps away, and the beach is close too. Apartment No. 4 in the Blanker Hans building has a balcony out front and a terrace at the back, with a really peaceful setting. Everything feels thoughtfully furnished. We arrived, settled in, and enjoyed our vacation.

We were four adults, and the apartment's layout and location were excellent, but the cleanliness was a real letdown. There was blood on a cupboard, greasy shelves and mirrors, a dirty counter and backsplash, dust throughout, food in the cutlery drawer, dirty porcelain compartments, and cobwebs. The €200 final-cleaning charge doesn't match the service. Towels were insufficient, some smelled bad, and none were changed. One pillow was lumpy, a bench needed a blanket to be usable, and a kitchen chair couldn't be used at all. On departure day, four cleaners were already at the door before 10 a.m. Hopefully it can only improve.

Right in the Osterdünen, this quiet retreat is centrally located. The interior is convincing, with lots of care put into the details.
