If you're looking to properly unwind for a week, this island is a great choice. There are no cars, and you can cycle from one end to the other in about 30 - 45 minutes, which makes the holiday feel even more relaxing. At the DJH youth hostel, the food is very good, and you can put together lunch bags for noon. The rooms are good too, though it's still a youth hostel rather than a hotel, so keep expectations reasonable. If you're not after high standards, you'll find it lovely here. There's plenty for families to do: table tennis or pool, the children's playhouse, the beach, even if most of the year isn't really beach weather, or just a bike ride around the island. We had a great time here, and staying at the DJH youth hostel is a good way to enjoy it.
