On the table was a half-empty bottle of wine left by the previous tenant, which was completely unacceptable. We also found a scribbled note on the landlord’s chalkboard saying he’d broken a glass. There was no information anywhere about whether we needed to bring bed linens or towels, so thank goodness we had packed our own. Hygiene seemed like a completely foreign concept in this apartment, especially in the shower.

The view is breathtaking, as you can see in the photo taken from the window. My wife and I spent 14 days in this dream apartment, and the kitchen equipment and dishes were exemplary. The furnishings were perfectly fine, and the cleanliness was completely acceptable to us, despite how often it comes up. Anyone who needs highly polished brick tiles should avoid this rustic apartment that blends naturally into the landscape. 5 stars 👍

The beach is very close, and there’s a nice partial sea view from the balcony, but the apartment is in a badly run-down condition. It feels carelessly furnished and is unclean. The bedroom is tiny, though the bed itself is okay and has a good mattress. Even that room feels neglected. The high price doesn’t fit the quality. Despite the great beach location, this is the worst holiday rental we’ve had on Wangerooge so far. What a shame!

When the beach gets too crowded, or we just want a bit of quiet, the terrace is a lovely place to sit. The holiday apartment is well equipped and centrally located.
