Hotel Zeitgeist

We spent two nights here and enjoyed our stay. The rooms are modern, everything was clean and tidy, and there's a good restaurant. The centre of Wartburg is just a five minute walk away.

We stayed four nights for a wedding and really enjoyed it. The rooms are modern, with Netflix and a comfortable bed, and everything we needed was an easy walk away, including supermarkets, shops and restaurants within five minutes. Each morning the breakfast buffet was well stocked with plenty of choices.

The restaurant and bar had a good selection for winding down at the end of the day, and parking was available behind the hotel. Shops and restaurants were close by, and even the clinic was within walking distance. This young hotel right in the city was a very nice place to stay. Check-in was easy, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the receptionist gave us a detailed explanation of the hotel's features. When we stayed in November 2023, the rooms were brand new, well equipped and in good working order. I'd happily stay again and highly recommend it.

My car broke down while I was travelling with a child, and the repairs delayed us so much that reaching the hotel by 6 a.m. would have been physically impossible. We were too exhausted to keep driving through the night. I called and asked to move the booking to our return trip a week later, but the hotel staff or manager refused and charged me for the night. I expected some understanding and support in an exceptional situation. Instead, I lost 145 EUR and couldn't use the booking another time. I advise against staying here if you're travelling. The way Zeitgeist hotel handled this felt greedy and showed no understanding.
