Hafenresidenz Waren (Müritz)

We spent four days in the “Otter” apartment. It was cozy on the ground floor, furnished in a modern style, and had a fantastic lake view. Exterior blinds and mosquito nets were provided. Our small dog could go straight out to the terrace and lawn, which was great. There was a numbered car parking space, plus a separate carport in the courtyard for bicycles. The cleaning wasn’t good enough, though, so we’ve taken off a star.

We had a wonderful weekend at this lovely apartment on the harbor in Waren an der Müritz. It’s easy to reach by elevator, and the modern furnishings and cleanliness made us feel very comfortable. The small balcony has enough room for two to sit. The interior bathroom is more functional than attractive, but it’s adequate and well equipped.

The hotel itself was fine, but I’m avoiding the region for now. I clearly noticed right-wing leanings among some of the locals, and I don’t want my vacation spending to support or finance that. It’s a shame, but I don’t think those attitudes fit with tourism.

Nothing was missing from this beautiful, well-equipped holiday apartment. What really made it was the magnificent balcony view of the harbor and boats, especially with all the lights on in the evening. We’ll definitely come back!
