The rooms were spacious, clean, and lovely, and breakfast was delicious. We got a warm, friendly welcome too. It’s a great base for the Bayreuth opera house and for walking in the mountains, with culture and time to unwind.

Breakfast was amazing and the service very good. The WiFi could be better.

A really well-kept, clean place with lots of amenities, such as a sauna, hot tub, bike rental, and laundry. Breakfast is plentiful and prices are about average. It’s half an hour outside the city, which is the one downside, though the location works perfectly if you’re there to ski.

A lovely family-run place in the Fichtel Mountains, tucked right into the forest. It’s only a few minutes from the chairlift to the Ochsenkopf and very close to the ski lifts. When it’s warm out, you can set off on hikes from here, or just take it easy and unwind.

I keep coming back to Haus Barbara for short getaways, and it’s always such a lovely place to relax in an idyllic setting. The welcome is warm, and I love the homemade jams, great rolls, and perfect espresso. Thank you so much!
