I went to the police after what happened. The gentleman held his fist in my face and threatened to pull my teeth, with one insult after another coming from him. I stayed polite, but he couldn’t control his aggressive temper. I was probably a bit too untidy for him, so I can’t recommend the place. If you still decide to go, make sure you’re tidy. Violence is never the answer, and a good innkeeper wouldn’t think of verbally or physically threatening an unpleasant guest, even if some of it was my fault. Enter at your own risk!

I called my company right away to find somewhere else, and my colleague did the same. Other colleagues had warned us about the conditions that morning at the construction site, but we had to see them for ourselves. The room is a 2x2 meter squat. Door frames are coming off, garbage bags sit in the hallways, and bare bulbs hang from the ceilings. Duct tape (?) partly seals the showers, and the shower head holder is positioned so the water sprays toward the bathroom window instead of me. Smoke detectors were missing from every ceiling I could see. There’s a real garbage dump behind the building, half the paving out front has been torn up, and the weeds look like they haven’t been pulled for years. Absolutely awful.

The small bar downstairs was the best part. The host was really friendly and nice. The room has its own bathroom and kitchenette.

The price makes no sense for these conditions. The room was dirty, the furniture was falling apart, there was no heating, and noise from the bar at night... Don’t come unless you have to.
