We had a large apartment, with nice, ample furniture and a well-equipped bathroom. Parking was close to the room. There were several problems, though. The office is staffed for only a couple of hours a day, and when we arrived the reception was locked and nobody answered the phone. Those limited reception hours weren’t mentioned when booking, and there was no one available to sort out problems. The kitchen didn’t have enough utensils or a microwave. Our bedroom was on the second floor, with no elevator, so we had to carry our suitcases up ourselves; that also wasn’t described at booking. The heating made a high-pitched noise, and a mechanical noise from a neighboring facility kept starting and stopping during the night. Despite the hotel’s name and pictures, guests can’t access the beautiful castle.

I was there for a concert, so I can’t speak to the rooms. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the place had a lovely atmosphere. It’s a charming spot with a nice castle and a good area to walk around, with water, a river, and a park. I’m planning to come back for another concert, or maybe stay in a room. Mobile data reception was pretty poor, ranging from none to barely connected.

Beautiful surroundings and a lovely hotel, with attentive staff and really first-class food. The one thing I’d criticize is that there’s no AC.

I was only passing through, but the castle caught my eye, so I stopped to have a look. They rent rooms and hold concerts, and there’s a restaurant where you can eat or have a drink.

The place is quiet and the surrounding nature is mind-blowing. The staff were the nicest I’ve ever seen, going above and beyond to make us comfortable and help us enjoy our stay.
