Hotel Jägerhof

The food was great and the hotel itself is beautiful. But there’s no AC in the rooms, and in summer they get incredibly hot, almost unbearable. My wife and I also both felt the staff weren’t as friendly to us because we’re not German.

We had a lovely stop here on the way south. The rooms are large enough for four and the beds were good, which worked perfectly for travelling with kids. We enjoyed the breakfast too.

The breakfast buffet was delicious, with everything freshly made and full of flavor. We only stayed for the morning meal, but the rooms looked beautiful, traditionally styled with a modern touch. They have comfortable beds, a great shower, a nice toilet, and plenty of counter space and storage. The toilets were clean and pleasant. There are lovely views and good walks nearby, plus Tesla superchargers close by. Definitely deserves five stars, highly recommended!

We stayed in a very nice room at Spessart-Lodge, with a good bed, shower, and balcony. I did miss having a coffee machine, kettle, and minibar, especially since there’s enough room to add them. The lodge is part of the hotel where tour buses stop, so there can be lots of buses and tourists. You don’t notice that while you’re in the lodge, though.
