They provided no service, but kept my payment. I’d made a booking mistake and noticed it just a minute later, so I cancelled straight away. They could have kept part of the money, but keeping all of it doesn’t feel right.

The owners were really friendly, and it was very peaceful there. It’s also close to some lovely areas. For a low price, this guesthouse is a perfectly fine place if all you need is somewhere to sleep. 👍

The shared areas smelled of cigarette smoke, even though the smoking room was on another floor and in the hallway. That could be unpleasant if you don’t smoke. The bathroom fan was covered in dust, and the room situation was frustrating too. I’d booked two separate beds, but was told on arrival that room wasn’t available. They offered a different room with one separate bed and one double, then charged me €10 extra, taking the price from €69 to €79. Booking showed that same room for only €7 more, so they added another €3 instead of owning the mistake and giving it to me free. You can’t pay with Visa, and paying by Mastercard also comes with a fee. The only no-fee options are a German EC card or cash. The price doesn’t match what’s offered.

Arriving after 9 PM, you’re told check-in is at most €20 per person as a courtesy. Otherwise, they threaten that you’ll have to sleep in your car and lose the whole payment, and recommend finding another hotel. That’s a great way to drive guests away. It’s a disgrace to the town. Room 1 has a leaking toilet, which is the least of the problems. There’s a small, useless key safe outside, and it feels like they’re just trying to collect more money. They’ve already been to 150 guesthouses, and this service leaves you completely exposed.
