We loved how peaceful and clean the apartment was. It’s in a quiet neighborhood but still within walking distance of downtown Weimar. Our hosts were so welcoming and even gave us a ride to the metro station. It felt like a retreat, and we’d love to return for a longer stay.

It’s easy to walk to Weimar’s cultural sights from this quiet, green setting on the outskirts, with the city center still close by. The bus stop is just outside, and picturesque walking paths follow the Ilm River through parks and meadows past many sights. The apartment is professionally built, tastefully furnished, and in immaculate condition. The house and grounds are also very clean and lovingly cared for. Parking has never been a problem. Many thanks to our very pleasant host, Mr. Thormeyer.

The Thormeyer family live directly below the attic apartment and are happy to help, while still giving you plenty of space. We had everything we needed during our short break in Weimar at Apartment Hohe Pappel. From there, a bike ride through the park along the Ilm gets you to the city center and Schloss Belvedere in just a few minutes. We can recommend this holiday apartment without reservation.

The landlord was very friendly. The spacious, well-kept holiday apartment is on the top floor, right across from the Henry van de Velde Villa on Belvedere Avenue. Beautiful place. Five stars!
