Marktplatzhotel - Restaurant Tafelspitz

Really, really friendly. Clean and rustic, with a romantic, lovely feel.

The food was amazing, and the place was clean. I can’t speak to the rooms since I never saw them, though I’m sure they’re as good as the restaurant. The service deserves 6 stars if that were possible. The woman who served us was both professional and so nice, and the young men working there were professional too. If you want good food, a professional team, and a clean place, eat here. We’ll definitely go back to the restaurant.

This is a simple but nice hotel with very friendly staff and good value for money. It’s on Weinheim’s main square, with several restaurants nearby. I found the mattress too soft for me, but the room was very quiet, partly because cars can’t drive around the hotel.

The breakfast buffet is a good spread, and the strong German coffee is a great way to start the day. The restaurant has plenty of character, with its old-time charm kept throughout, and a good collection of classics, though they’re in German. I didn’t try the dried old beef, but it looked enticing.
