Breakfast was a real highlight, with excellent food and eggs cooked fresh when we ordered. The room was clean, and although the furnishings looked dated, there were no bad smells. The receptionist spoke only a little German, but was kind and friendly and used a translation app to help. Our stay in room #12 was let down by the bed, though. Both mattresses were crooked and creaked at the slightest movement, so I barely slept. A good bed would make this a five star stay for me. Comfort matters a lot when I’m staying at a hotel, so I can’t give it four stars.

The room was clean, comfortable, and especially quiet, which was a plus. But breakfast was disappointing: the sausage, cheese, and rolls weren’t replenished, so there was hardly anything to choose from, and we waited almost 20 minutes for boiled eggs. There were only six of us there at the time. The woman on duty seemed like she didn’t want to be working and wasn’t very friendly. Fine for a night, but I wouldn’t recommend staying longer. Such a shame.

The service was very good, and the hotel was clean and tidy. I hope I can come back to this lovely hotel and the wonderful lake nearby. Looking forward to seeing you again.
