Apartmenthaus Witthüs

We had a wonderful 10-day stay and would choose this apartment again on Sylt. The terrace and beach chair made for lovely breakfasts in the morning sun, and despite being in the basement, the bedroom and shower room were handy in warm weather. There was plenty of storage space, in my view. The apartment has everything you need except an oven. Getting the keys was easy: the rental office in Westerland left them in a box beside the office when we arrived after hours, and we used a code sent by email. There’s ample parking by the building. Bikes can be locked to a rack, though there’s no covered storage. Wenningstedt is conveniently central, with a bakery and supermarket within walking distance. The beach and places like Westerland, Kampen, Keitum, and List are quick to reach by bike. Some bike paths go through the lovely dunes, while others run beside main roads. You can also bike to the Ellenbogen peninsula in the north, but allow around 45-60 minutes each way. With the wind sometimes strong, an e-bike is highly recommended.

We felt right at home here with our two dogs. The apartment had everything we needed, and it's quiet but very central, so we could get around on foot and still relax away from everyday stress.

There's plenty of parking and a terrace at this lovely thatched-roof house, right in the center. Shopping is just across the street at the Wenningstedt roundabout. Our apartment was clean and tidy, though the bedroom and bathroom were down in the basement. The kitchenette was very cramped, and a quick guide for using the mini grill oven would've been useful. Otherwise, we were satisfied.

Apartment number 19 was a fantastic holiday home, really cozy and equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We felt very comfortable and would love to return.
