The restaurant makes it easy to get a good, hearty meal, and the rooms are spacious, clean and quiet. This is a family-run hotel in Werneck, a small town that’s pretty peaceful. People around town were warm and welcoming, and the hotel made us feel included. Tobias was one of the most cheerful innkeepers my wife and I have met. Some staff chatted with us in English, others in German. He also cooks very well, especially his own currywurst. There’s a big, friendly dog who enjoys playing and being scratched, and a parrot in the office whose singing you can hear in the hall, though I never saw it. Thanks to Tobias and his family for making the trip comfortable and even more memorable.

Breakfast came with the stay, including fresh bread, yogurt, fruit and a very nice cappuccino. The staff were really friendly.
