Our two-night stay was pleasant. We booked breakfast as well. The room felt like a studio and was spacious, clean, and had a huge bathroom with a tub. You can cook, but there were no cooking utensils, just cutlery and plates. Breakfast was okay, nothing special, with a standard German spread of breads, scrambled eggs, a few fruits, cheese, and cold meat. The staff were friendly and helpful, and spoke English. The hotel is near marktplatz but a long way from HBF. Buses 201 and 204 stop nearby and go to hbf. You can also get a brockenbahn ticket at reception.

The staff were super nice, and breakfast had lots of options. My room was at the back of the restaurant, but after checking in I could get into town by taking the stairs through the restaurant. The little hotel is right behind the tourist office. The bed was really comfortable, and the air-con was a lifesaver in the summer heat. I'd definitely come back.

The room was big, the bed comfortable, and everything was clean. Good location and a great breakfast. Parking is limited, and you can't park in the inner city, so I ended up paying for nightly parking near schöneeck. Would definitely recommend it.

The room was fine overall, and the breakfast buffet is great. Still, as on my last visit, it wasn't heated when I arrived. There were some dirty spots in the bath, and the door had signs of a break-in.

The hotel was clean, and that's why it gets one star from me. Comfort was terrible. I was travelling with my husband and two kids, so we had an apartment with a sleeping sofa. That sofa was a nightmare, really hard and raised high at the head, so I couldn't relax my back. Stay away from it. The TV was tiny, and the shower cabin was a joke. If you're tall or a little overweight, you can't get in there.
