Really good restaurant.

Great.

We stayed a few days over New Year and had booked a double room. It was a decent size, clean, and quiet in the annex. The bathroom was fine, with a spacious shower and hot water. Two more towels for the sauna would have been nice. The room's biggest issue was the badly worn mattresses. We woke up with back pain every morning. The mini fridge was broken, too, which was disappointing since we'd have liked to chill some sparkling wine for New Year's Eve. The breakfast buffet was the biggest letdown. The bread and rolls were very basic, and white bread was the only alternative available, and only on one day, even though there are several bakeries in town. The cold cuts and cheese were similar, just the cheapest packaged food from a discount shop. Rather than offering three kinds of water, they could have spent that money elsewhere. We came down twice at about 9:20, with breakfast served until 10, but a lot was already gone and nothing was replenished. For example, we never got scrambled eggs. The wellness area is a little dated but okay, and everything there was very clean. The pool was fine, though more than three people made it feel cramped. We and a few other guests weren't sure where to pour the sauna infusion. They'd only left out a bucket, so a small note would have helped. The room for sitting after the sauna wasn't inviting at all, with very bright, harsh lighting and sagging loungers. All in all, it's a quiet little hotel in a good location, and the staff were okay. The price didn't feel worth what we got, though.
